Abstract

Community development learning activities for lecturer and students is a medium to contribute to the settlement of the problems in society. Thepurpose of this proram is: First, to be able to empower farming communitiesthrough a community initiative compost manure management to be used asorganic compost. Second, introducing appropriate technology composter forthe farmers as a tool for the process of making compost from cow manureinto organic fertilizer that is efficient and profitable.  The method is applied in the framework of empowerment of the targetgroup through observation, interviews, documentation, education, training,practice,coaching,andmonitoringofprograms.Tobeintheimplementationof these activities can work well, before the student falls on theground, first given a briefing on the program material that will apply to thetarget group .  The results of the activities of this program are: (1) society has beenable to target the group of self-sufficient through the compost cow manuremanagement used as organic compost; (2) the target group has to know, canuse and take advantage of appropriate technology in the composter compostingprocesscowmanureintoorganicfertilizermoreefficientlyandprofitably.The implications of this program can serve as a model of communityempowerment in a self-sufficient farm compost compost to meet internalneeds, and can even be used as a productive economic activity. Abstract

The purpose of this PPM Featured is (1) determining the shape ofelectroplating tools that fit with the needs of Vocational High School Diponegorowith low operating costs; (2) students and teachers can operate theelectroplating tool and metal plating with the correct procedures; (3) determiningthe response of the students and teacher after practicing the metalplating and the Vocational High School Diponegoro has its own electroplatingtool.The method used in the PPM Featured electroplating are planningthe tool with the size as needed in Vocational High School Diponegoro,easily portable, safe, minimal pollution, and easy to use. To prevent failurein the PPM implementation, then all sizes and components used in the electroplatingtool together with the size and components used in the electroplatingtool based on research results. Testing and training the students andteachers about the tool and operation of the metal plating appliance.The implementation of PPM Featured produce something as follows:(1) the construction shape of electroplating tool were rectangular a longframe size of 1000 mm , 400 mm width and 750 mm height. Electroplatingbath size were 560 mm length, 300 mm width and 400 mm height. Nickelsolution volume was 55 liters. The framework equipped with troll in orderto be easily moved and also equipped with table, (2) 73 students had themean value 78 and 1 teacher can operate and utilize the electroplatingtools for metal plating (iron/steel), (3) the responses of the students andteacher after practice with electroplating tools were expressed great satisfaction.Keywords: electroplating tools, plating, operation, and students

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of activities include: (1) develop a variation of material processed eel (nuggets, meatballs, and various flavors of snack chips madefrom eel); (2) participants can describe about entrepreneurship; (3) able topractice manufacturing packaging; (4) the trainees can realize on the saleprice and labeling. Implementation method began with a pre-site survey analysis needsa partner to see. After the analysis we needed to know the existence of theproblems faced by partners. Of the problems we were trying to find solutionsto these problems. The method used in this activity is the lecture method,discussion, and practice. To see the success of the training activitiesneed to be evaluated. As an indicator of the success of both theoretical andpractical material 80% of participants can master the training materials. Abstract

The program is aimed at developing casting competence at SMKMuhammadiyah Prambanan Yogyakarta by developing gas fueled aluminiumcrucible furnace. Research and development method was used todevelop aluminium crucible furnace. Abstract

Abstract

One of the flag ship products of Bantul area is a traditional foodproduct that is made from chips mlinjo based mlinjo. For rural areas,potential areas of Bantul strongly supports the development of traditionalfood craft industry mlinjo chips. Mlinjo plants are very easy to get inBantul. Melinjo kind of chips are made from fruit that has been melinjoold. Making chips is not difficult and can be done using simple tools.Mlinjo is one of the processing of agricultural commodity prices are high.These commodities can be exported to neighboring countries. But the factis lack of capital held, the lack of touch technology in the productionprocess, especially in the roaster mlinjo quickly, applied managementsystem is very simple, so profits and losses can not be detected properly,yet have the ability to use information technology can be used as amarketing medium.To achieve these objectives, the methods used in this activity is thecreation of training mlinjo roaster machine that can be adjusted as neededto improve the quality and quantity. Web design training to support themarketing of products crackers mlinjo, business management training. IbMSmall Industries Group activities Craftsmen Emping mlinjo in Beji,displays Bantul Yogyakarta for 3 days on 3, 4, and 5 November 2013at 07:30 to 16:30 pm. In general, all participants followed the eventswith high motivation and earnest. It is evident in their attendance on aregular basis for three days and follow each session with care andenthusiasm. The questions they launched during the opening session.Things are less clear they as to obtain understanding. The first day oftraining activities, participant follow carefully. Abstract

The activity “Optimizing of The Beauty of Herbs” is aimed: (1) toimprove an understanding of the understanding of farmer group membersand efficacy of herbs scientifically; (2) to improve the creativity of membersof farmer groups on how the processing of various herbal products, (3)toimprove awareness of farmer group members to be independent andmaintain the food security.Objects of study are 45 member of farmer group " Sumber KaryaBoga " in Padukuhan Pondok, Condong Catur. The methods are used insolving the problem include: lecture, workshop and practice. Stages include:the preparation stage, the introduction stage, the creative production stage,development stage and evaluation stage. Data obtained using a questionnaireabout herbs and their understanding of the sources of information, selfsufficiency,food security, entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of thebusiness plan .Results indicate that most participants have an understanding ofherbs and their properties well. Participants also gain the skills to processherbs into various food products . The independence of most participantshas reached “Good” category. For food security and entrepreneurial spiritobtained information that most participants have food security in thecategory “Good”. But only few of them know about farming business plan.This suggests that they have not yet fully understand about the formulationof business plan.Keywords: the beauty of herb, food security, and enterpreneurship

Abstract

Character catfish farming is relatively easy to implement by thepublic, this is the underlying reason why catfish farming is also widelyhailed by the public in such Karanganyar by Ulam Nastiti groups and NgudiMulyo groups located in the Suruh Village Tasikmadu Sub District KaranganyarDistrict. Some of the activities and the introduction of appropriatetechnology is given to the farmers in order to make the group more empowered.So far, almost all activities are conducted though the implementationis not fully compliant proposal, but the team's dedication consideration isthat these activities should be based on partner needs/goals. So althoughexcavation needs on time preparation of proposals have been made, but ifthe reality field conditions change then certainly needs changing partners,too, so that any given solution must be adjusted.Keywords : empowerment, catfish farming, and processed fish
